The Sonus is a full-auto rated 9mm suppressor engineered for ultralight performance at just 9.8oz. Built from 17-4 H900 stainless steel — DFAR certified, US-made — with the precision engineering philosophy that defines every Energetic Armament design. Thinner walls optimize weight while increasing internal volume for better sound attenuation, and improve heat transfer as the silencer converts muzzle gas energy into heat rather than sound. Efficiency is engineered into every silencer Energetic Armament designs and the Sonus continues that legacy.

Available in two distinct finishes — the original MetOx with its unique burnt bronze appearance that makes every Sonus one of a kind, and the new Black Nitride finish for shooters who prefer the clean tactical look of the centerfire lineup.

Compatible with all industry-standard 1.375×24 HUB/Bravo quick-disconnect mounts, standard 3-lug sub-gun mounts, and HUB pattern booster assemblies for pistol use — making the Sonus equally at home on a pistol, subgun or PCC. The removable end cap features a wipe holder with high-temperature silicone wipe included for ultimate subsonic performance. The Sonus ships with a removable 1/2-28 direct thread adapter and is compatible with all industry standard 1.375×24 HUB or Bravo style quick-disconnect mounting systems.

For 3-lug sub-guns, the Sonus works with all industry standard 3-lug mounts having the HUB pattern. The Sonus also readily accepts all industry standard booster assemblies with the HUB pattern for use on pistols.  

The end cap of the Sonus is removable and features a wipe holder as standard equipment. A high temperature rated silicone wipe provides ultra-quiet sound performance when using sub-sonic rounds. The wipe forms a seal to the exiting bullet to control gas flow and bring the ultimate quiet to your shot. The Sonus is quiet… really quiet… with low, even tone that gives your firearms the sound you want.

WIPES:

The wipe material is 1/8″ reinforced silicone sheet (McMaster-Carr PN 3635K17) that is punched with punch (McMaster-Carr PN 3427A26) out 1-1/8″ dia disks. The use of an end grain wood block or soft plastic anvil is recommended. The nose hex is 1-1/4″ (wrench supplied) and the wipe retainer uses a 9/16″ socket. All threads should have an anti-seize applied when reassembling (McMaster-Carr PN 1288K12).

Wipes may be replaced by a dealer or users can repair their silencers; they just can’t manufacture and stockpile silencer parts. Making and replacing wipes 1:1 is acceptable. You cannot make them for other people or have more than one at a time. The old wipe should be destroyed before a new one is made.
