Compact by Design

Short on Size. Long on Engineering.

The Sonus 9K isn’t a shrunken suppressor — it’s a purpose-built compact. Thinner walls mean more internal volume inside a smaller outer envelope. More volume means better sound attenuation. Better heat transfer means the kinetic energy of high-speed muzzle gases converts to heat instead of sound. Every millimeter is working.

At 5.05 inches and 8.1 ounces, the 9K disappears on a pistol and stays out of the way on a PCC — without giving up the full-auto rating or multi-caliber versatility of the full-size Sonus.

The Wiped End Cap

Quieter When It Counts.

The Sonus 9K ships standard with a removable wiped end cap. A high-temperature silicone wipe forms a seal around the exiting bullet, controlling gas flow for maximum first-round sound reduction on subsonic ammunition. The result is a low, even tone — the kind of quiet that gets noticed.

The end cap is user-removable with the included wrench multi-tool. Replacement wipes can be made 1:1 per BATF guidelines.

HUB Compatible

One Suppressor. Many Hosts.

The Sonus 9K ships with a 1/2-28 direct thread adapter and is fully compatible with all industry-standard 1.375×24 HUB and Bravo quick-disconnect mounting systems. That means 3-lug mounts for subguns, booster assemblies for pistols, and direct thread for everything else — all from the same can. The Project E is an ideal mount for those looking to quickly move between hosts while benefiting from direct thread like advantages.

Serial ID Ring

Re-Core Without the Red Tape.

Every Energetic Armament centerfire suppressor ships with the patented Serial ID Ring. Your serial number lives on the ring — not the core. If your core ever needs service or replacement, it can be swapped without generating new NFA paperwork or additional wait time. One stamp. For life.

WIPES:

The wipe material is 1/8″ reinforced silicone sheet (McMaster-Carr PN 3635K17) that is punched with punch (McMaster-Carr PN 3427A26) out 1-1/8″ dia disks. The use of an end grain wood block or soft plastic anvil is recommended. The nose hex is 1-1/4″ (wrench supplied) and the wipe retainer uses a 9/16″ socket. All threads should have an anti-seize applied when reassembling (McMaster-Carr PN 1288K12).

Wipes may be replaced by a dealer or users can repair their silencers; they just can’t manufacture and stockpile silencer parts. Making and replacing wipes 1:1 is acceptable. You cannot make them for other people or have more than one at a time. The old wipe should be destroyed before a new one is made.

Per BATF regulations Energetic Armament does not sell replacement wipes. This guide DOES NOT constitute legal advice and firearms laws change regularly. Please consult your dealer or an attorney for guidance with all laws and regulations.
