The engineering and materials leader in the silencer space introduces a new weight-efficient suppressor featuring Energetic Armament Serial ID ring technology
March 26th, Houston TX. Today Energetic Armament and their parent company Summit Sound Technologies launched their new Peak line of suppressors. The flagship PEAK 30™️, which is a 7.62mm centerfire rifle suppressor, debuts today at the 2022 NRA Convention.
The new Peak™️ line offers weight-efficient silencers for those shooters that don’t require the extreme temperature and cartridge energy ratings of Energetic Armament’s highly regarded VOX and ARX lines, but want the weight, durability, modularity and efficiency engineered into every Energetic Arms suppressor. The PEAK 30 is a 5 baffle rifle silencer that is compact, lightweight, and features efficiency optimized sound attenuation. With a black nitride finish and Energetic Armament’s patented Serial ID ring technology, these silencers are built for longevity, while still offering excellent lightweight performance and outstanding signature reduction in their class.
The PEAK 30 is rated for 5.56mm up to 300WM, and excels with 7.62mm and .308 cartridges. The core of the PEAK 30 is a 5 baffle design laser-welded from 17-4PH stainless steel and heat treated to the H900 condition. The baffles feature a tapered leading edge and porting that optimizes suppression and back pressure for both super and subsonic rounds. The efficient engineering in this design allows for a more accessible suppressor for everyday hunters and shooters.
The core and all parts of the PEAK 30 are black nitride finished, which provides incredible function and aesthetic. The nitride process chemically changes the outside layer of the steel, greatly increasing hardness while keeping the core tough and preventing embrittlement that can diminish performance over time. This finish becomes an integral part of the core material, both inside and out, unlike other ‘painted’ or unfinished silencers, resulting in unprecedented protection against hot gas erosion.
The patented Serial ID Ring ensures PEAK silencers are backed by Energetic Armament’s rapid customer service and easily installable future upgrades when new generations of suppressor cores are developed. The universal 1.375×24 mount thread provides a wide array of mounting options including the 5/8-24 direct thread adapter (removeable) that ships with the PEAK 30. On the front end the PEAK 30 uses the same 1.375×24 end cap mount pattern of the Energetic Armament VOX and ARX lines, allowing universal interchangeability of end cap accessories.
